Mount Biggs school welcomes Mrs Stephanie McKay to our staff . She will be teaching in our Senior Room while Mrs Renee Timmins is on Maternity leave. Stephanie becomes the third McKay on our staff. Three out of four teachers with the surname of McKay – has to be some sort of record!!!!!
Thanks to the Mount Biggs School Home & School Group, communuty members and the local land owners we a had another great trail bike ride. Funds raised will help with our building project.

Room 3 pupils helped to pot up hundreds of native tree seedlings. These will be looked after in our shade house and then be planted out somewhere in the community to create a new native area.
Christian Cullen came to Mount Biggs School to talk about the Rescue Helicopter Fundraising – the school that collects the most money per head wins a visit from Richie McCaw- We want Richie at Mount Biggs School so the pupils are running competitions and fum activities to raise money.
The Mount Biggs Student House Council held a “Bad Hair / PJ Day” to raise money for the Canterbury Earthquake appeal. Well done to all – we had some fantastic looking pupils on the day. Jump Jam in PJ’s was great fun!!!!
Mount Biggs Trail Bike Ride
April 3rd.
The trail bike ride will once again be our major fundraiser – it is being held on April 3rd and we will be calling for volunteers from the community to help so if you have a few hours to spare on that day let the school know
Mount Biggs pupils have been on a visit to the Coach House Museum in Feilding – what a wonderful place to explore old vehicles. The visit was part of a study of wheels and how the technology of wheels has influences us over time.
